Christophe Marand, instructional designer/multimedia developer
Christophe Marand joined Vidéoscop in 1998 as a multimedia developer. In most of the pedagogical resources he has developed, the control and integration of audio and video are a major issue. A strong interest in content and pedagogy gave him the opportunity to evolve towards instructional design 4 years ago. Since then, he has been responsible for online course design and has explored the various uses of streaming video. In the resource “Démarche Compétence”, a problem-based approach with real life situations was chosen, each screen illustrated with photos, whereas case studies were based on videos.
He is currently involved in the European eLene-TT project for documentary research and synthesis in the field of teacher training for the innovative pedagogical use of ICT.
Christophe’s background is in physics. He studied at the INSA in Toulouse, a Grande Ecole d'Ingénieurs, a School of Engineering under the authority of the Ministry of Education and Research. Thanks to an ERASMUS exchange program, he graduated from the University of Essex (UK) in 1994, and received a Master of Science in Laser Communication. He gained three years of experience as a postgraduate with British Telecom Research Labs and as a computer scientist in optical networks with UCL (University College London), before coming back to France.
