Martin Hawksey, e-Learning Developer

Martin is the newest member of eLISU team at GCU. Martin entered the field of e-learning 4 years ago as an e-learning developer for a private company based in Elgin.

Martin originally graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 1999 with a BEng(Hons) in Structural Engineering. In 2002 he graduated from Napier University with a MSc distinction in Multimedia and Interactive Systems.

As well as working for eLISU Martin also works for the Scottish Centre for Work Based Learning (SCWBL) based here at GCU.

Martin has the following skills/expertise:

- Multimedia production and development [HTML, ASP, Flash, Director, Fireworks, Photoshop, PowerPoint]

- Programming [VBScript, JAVA, ActionScript, JavaScript, Lingo]

- User centred design and evaluation [HCI, focus groups, heuristic evaluation, cognitive walkthroughs, sequential evaluation, discount usability methods]

- 3D Visualisation [AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, Shockwave 3D]

- Subject Area Knowledge [Mathematics, Engineering, Physics]
